Kovalam with its cosmopolitan character is also deeply traditional.  That's why dining here can be such a wonderful experience.  The Krishna Restaurant (Exact Place - Kattachalkuzhi, Balaramapuram) near Kovalam is definitely known for their unique Chicken cuisines.  Their traditional cuisines are mostly non-vegetarian, but you can definitely get a taste of the vegetarian side as well.  We bought the food from this restaurant and had it on a road-side shelter towards the way to Kovalam beach.  It was really an awesome experience, hence I thought of posting a few pictures from our journey/travel.  Also we made a video around our travel. This blog is related to a short vacation trip that we had to Thekkady which is relatively a small hill station. You can cover the whole area in just a couple of days.  Yet for leisure lovers, you can also get to stay here for a week and get to relax. It's an amazing place full of natural specialties. There are multiple activities for different kinds of people, right from treks, plantation visits, mountain hill top scenery, boating, staying inside forest camps, massages and much more. A Visit to Thekkady should definitely include a visit to the Periyar Tiger reserve park.
