🌅🌅🌅 Inauguration of Village Bus Service 🌅

The special KSRTC CNG bus service, a part of the Gramavandi project, begins to provide public transportation convenience to areas with limited transportation facilities, including destinations within the scope of local self-governance institutions, rural areas, and sectors contributing to social development. 🌈🌈 Inaugurating the Gramavandi project, jointly initiated by the local self-government institutions and KSRTC, on 16th August 2023 at Sreemoolanagar Grama Panchayath, Angamaly Block. 🌟🌟🌟

The event, graced by the presence of Mr. Anwar Sadath, the MLA of Aluva, will commence with a special function at 9:30 AM near Sreemoolanagar Junction. The Gramavandi service inauguration will be conducted as a part of this event.

🏝️🏝️🏝️ The project envisions resolving transportation challenges in various rural areas, including Thuruthupalam, Chovvara, Sreemoolanagar, Thiruvairanikulam, Sreebhutapuram, and other Grama Panchayath regions. Representatives of the public, authorized officials, and KSRTC personnel will participate in this event to contribute to the success of this initiative. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

The haunting story – Bonacaud Bungalow!

Bonacaud is known for its breathtaking beauty. Bonacaud was once a majestic tea estate set up by the British right below the Agasthya mountain ranges in Trivandrum. Bonacaud is very close to Ponmudi hills, taking a deviation at the Theviyode Junction, takes you to Bonacaud. The road forward is fairly rough. Be careful as you drive along this winding road because coming across wildlife is a common occurrence. As you go on, you might get to see the Peppara Dam in all its grandeur. Getting a good glimpse however is rare as the area is almost always shrouded in a thick layer of mist. The plush green mountain ranges move past your windows and the buildings in the Bonacaud estate stand grimly in the distance. Memories of the Nilgiri train journey!

Things disappear without your permission, then come back again without your permission. I just want to pass on some warped memories that came back from my Ooty train journey 10 years back exactly! I can't believe we just passed 10 years after getting married and I was looking back through our old photographs and so many loving memories flooded my mind. Thekkady -A green shelter in Western Ghats

This blog is related to a short vacation trip that we had to Thekkady which is relatively a small hill station. You can cover the whole area in just a couple of days. Yet for leisure lovers, you can also get to stay here for a week and get to relax. It's an amazing place full of natural specialties. There are multiple activities for different kinds of people, right from treks, plantation visits, mountain hill top scenery, boating, staying inside forest camps, massages and much more. A Visit to Thekkady should definitely include a visit to the Periyar Tiger reserve park. A visit to Padmanabhaswamy Temple

The Padmanabhaswamy temple is located in Trivandrum, Kerala. This is a Hindu temple devoted to Lord Vishnu. The temple is presently run by a trust controlled by the royal family of Travancore. The main Deity Padmanabha Swamy, is protected in the "Anantha-sayanam" stance. The Maharajah of Travancore stands the title, "Sree Padmanabhadasa’ which means Servant of Padmanabha Swamy The deity is made of 12,000 saligramams. These saligrams are brought from the Gandaki River in Nepal. The deity of Sripadmanabha is protected with, Katusarkara yogam and the daily worship is done with flowers. Those who own the Hindu belief are permitted to enter the temple. Devotees have to firmly follow the dress codes. The Samadhi of the Swamiyar is situated in the west of the temple. A solo boat trip to Kuttanad

I love travelling the length and breadth of my home state Kerala and this time around, I decided to cruise the back waters around Alappuzha (Alleppey). This is mostly unknown initiative "See Kuttanad" service of the Kerala State Water Transport Department (SWTD) where I was able to do a 2 hour cruise for a very reasonable sum of 30 Rupees. I reached the State Water Transport Department (SWTD) boat station near the local bus station at Alappuzha around 01:15 PM. On reaching I found that the SWTD offers a "See Kuttanad" cruise. This is apparently running since 2012 and there are five daily services. of 2 hours (round trip). There was one at 01:35 PM which I decided to take. These are not strictly cruise boats. SWTD has deployed a double deck boat on a regular passenger service from Alappuzha to Kainakary - a village in the Kuttanad area with multiple stops which is about 1 hour away.
