Trophy Boat Race celebration, led by budget tourism cell, KSRTC

As part of the Nehru Trophy Boat Race celebration, the admirers of boat races gathered in great numbers at Alappuzha. Led by the leadership of Kerala State Road Transport Corporation's (KSRTC) Budget Tourism Cell, specially chartered buses and seats for the fans were arranged from Palakkad and Malappuram districts. KSRTC played a pivotal role in bringing Nehru Trophy Vallamkali enthusiasts to witness the event.

The Alappuzha Budget Tourism Cell, under the leadership of Sri Bijuprabhakar IAS and Sri Suraj Shaji IAS, the Secretary and C.M.D. of KSRTC respectively, organized a special counter at Alappuzha Depot for the sale of tickets worth a total of 3 lakhs rupees. Tourists from various districts and states converged at this counter, resulting in a successful endeavor.

After enjoying the thrilling boat race with great enthusiasm, the attendees were reassured that the next round of buses would take them to their destinations. This was done with the assurance that after relishing the boat race fervor, they would reach their destinations safely. In addition, 85 fans of boat races, who traveled from the depots in Palakkad and Malappuram, reached the Punnamada Lake in Alappuzha.

Among the attendees, admiration for the boat races was palpable, and they were eager to embark on the next journey. Their confidence was evident as they waited for the next opportunity to ride the two additional buses after the boat race spectacle.

The Secretary of Transport and the KSRTC's CMD, Sri Bijuprabhakar IAS and Sri Suraj Shaji IAS respectively, were lauded for their efficient management and cooperation in providing various forms of assistance to tourists. They made extensive efforts to ensure that travelers' needs were met. Looking ahead to the next year, KSRTC's Budget Tourism Cell is determined to provide the best services to tourists coming from all over the state and beyond, including ticket reservations, to make their journey to the boat races in Alappuzha as convenient as possible.

The Padmanabhaswamy temple is located in Trivandrum, Kerala. This is a Hindu temple devoted to Lord Vishnu. The temple is presently run by a trust controlled by the royal family of Travancore. Bonacaud is known for its breathtaking beauty. Bonacaud was once a majestic tea estate set up by the British right below the Agasthya mountain ranges in Trivandrum. Bonacaud is very close to Ponmudi hills, taking a deviation at the Theviyode Junction, takes you to Bonacaud. The road forward is fairly rough. Be careful as you drive along this winding road because coming across wildlife is a common occurrence. As you go on, you might get to see the Peppara Dam in all its grandeur. Getting a good glimpse however is rare as the area is almost always shrouded in a thick layer of mist. In a groundbreaking move for Sabarimala pilgrims, the Travancore Devaswom Board has now integrated KSRTC (Kerala State Road Transport Corporation) booking options within its official virtual queue booking system. This convenient addition aims to make the pilgrimage experience smoother and more accessible for devotees by offering an all-in-one platform for booking both virtual queue slots and travel services. On November 6, 2024, at the Pampa Sriramasaketam Hall, a review meeting on Sabarimala pilgrim arrangements was led by the Honorable Minister of Transport.
