The Padmanabhaswamy temple is located in Trivandrum, Kerala. This is a Hindu temple devoted to Lord Vishnu. The temple is presently run by a trust controlled by the royal family of Travancore. The main Deity Padmanabha Swamy, is protected in the "Anantha-sayanam" stance. Aruvikkara Dam

Aruvikkara dam in kerala is built across the river Karamana, located 15 km away from Trivandrum. The reservoir and the garden are the prime attraction of the dam. A temple is located adjacent to the Dam which is dedicated to the deity Durga. which is built on a rock. People reach here not only to enjoy the beauty of dam and river but also for having blessings from the goddess. The river is situated in northern Trivandrum which supplies water for the peoples of Trivandrum especially for farming and drinking. There is also a pond can be seen very close to the temple which occupies many fishes, and there is also a beautiful garden which gives a warm welcome for you to enjoy the dam and surroundings.

An outing to Mankulam -Munnar

Keep close to nature's heart, break clear away once in a while and wash your spirit clean! I’m not a writer, but just thought of writing a few lines with some pictures taken using my old phone of a trip that I had to Mankulam, near Munnar. It was the best trip that I had ever. This essay does not even provide 1% of the fun, enjoyment & blast we had in this trip but is merely the details of the trip. We were a team of about 35 members. The route was Trivandrum – Pattanamthitta – Pala – Thodupuzha -Mankulam. The destination was bout 285 kms from Trivandrum. Mankulam is a renowned organic village. On the northern side picturesque tea gardens wait for visitors. We reached SNOW LAVENDER RESORT at 6am. After having breakfast, we were ready to spend a good, long part of the day in exploring the forest and the caves and soaking in the best of what the nature has to offer. മലപ്പുറം കുമരകം വാഗമൺ ഉല്ലാസയാത്ര... ജൂൺ ,ജൂലൈ,ആഗസ്റ്റ് മാസങ്ങളിലെ മൺസൂൺ കാലത്ത് കെ.എസ്.ആർ.ടി.സി ബഡ്ജറ്റ് ടൂറിസം സെൽ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഉല്ലാസയാത്ര ..... യാത്രക്കാരുടെ ആവശ്യം പരിഗണിച്ച് ജൂലൈ മാസത്തെ 11,12,13 തീയതി കളിലാണ് ഉല്ലാസയാത്ര സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്. മലനിരകളെ പൂർണമായും പൊതിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന മൂടൽമഞ്ഞിന്റെ പടലം കീറി മുന്നോട്ടു യാത്ര പുറപ്പെട്ടാൽ പറഞ്ഞറിയിക്കാൻ പറ്റാത്ത അത്രയും സൗന്ദര്യം തുളുമ്പുന്ന "വാഗമൺ". കേരളസംസ്ഥാനത്തിലെ ഇടുക്കി- കോട്ടയം ജില്ലകളിൽ വ്യാപിച്ചു കിടക്കുന്ന പ്രകൃതി രമണീയമായവിനോദ സഞ്ചാരകേന്ദ്രം. ജൂലൈ 11 (തിങ്കളാഴ്ച) രാത്രി മലപ്പുറത്തു നിന്ന് തിരിച്ച് ജൂലൈ 12 രാവിലെ വാഗമൺ എത്തി എട്ടുമണിയോടെ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ച് സൈറ്റ് സീയി०ഗ് (ജീപ്പ് സവാരി ) . 13.00 മണിയോടെ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിഞ്ഞ് 14.00 മണിയോടെ ബസിൽ യാത്ര തുടർന്ന് മൊട്ടക്കുന്ന്, സൂയിസൈഡ് പോയിന്റ് പൈൻ വാലി, എന്നീ സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലെ കാഴ്ചകൾ കണ്ടതിന് ശേഷം തിരിച്ച് വാഗമൺ എത്തി ക്യാമ്പ് ഫയറും , ഭക്ഷണവും തുടർന്ന് വാഗമണ്ണിൽ സ്റ്റേ. ജൂലൈ 13 (ബുധനാഴ്ച) രാവിലെ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ച് കുമരമഎത്തിച്ചേർന്ന് രാവിലെ 11.00 മണി മുതൽ 16.00 വരെ
